So I gave it a go tonight but without being able to adjust it it's double vision. I'm guessing it's because there was nothing for it to focus on initially.

I was curious to see how fireworks and the like would come out in 3d. Im going to attempt it tonight too, Im sure others will post what they capture too.
Should be interesting to see what comes out!

I tried several times last night to no avail. They were all blurry and decidedly not 3D due to it being so dark and having nothing to contrast against.
They looked awful.

To be fair, once I converted to 2d they looked ok. Probably could have gotten better shots if I would have gone with 2d to start.

I have noticed that 3D pictures of things taken at a distance aren't very effective.

It makes sense if you think about the fact that 3D results from the offset of two images. Things that are close to the camera show form because there is a difference in the two pictures taken eye width apart. Things that are taken superfar away just seem 2D because there isn't much difference in the 2 images.

For example if you look at a ball up close in real life or in 3D it will look round, but the moon which is a sphere just looks 2D.

I addition I have noticed that the two images that result from a picture of objects taken far away are spaced farther apart and there for more difficult for the eyes to merge back together to form one image.
