3G problems since EB01 debloted

Any still interested, I pulled the battery no help. flashed DL09 modem and still no help, back to EB01 modem nothing. I am getting 1X maybe 4 bars but cannot connect to internet or email. Am going to the other side of the island to the Metro area will see what happens there. Will let you know, if I get 3g over there but not here. But I still should get connected with 1X, shouldn't I??
