All it does is restart after the update, you won't lose any info

Why? Google and Verizon didn't make the phone. In fact you don't even need Verizon to get this phone. Not sticking up for VZW by any means, but your suspicion makes no sense; you'll need to explain.

Doesn't matter. That's just another theory in the order in which updates are sent out.

Also noticed that since I'm on 4.0.4 now, I was able to update Google Wallet from the Play Store with no problem.

It wouldn't let me when I was on 4.0.2.
