I went and looked at the previous pages and maybe it is regional but I am curious as to why its only this phone in this region? It doesn't make sense...

He He....I did the same thing..convinced my wife to move to Galaxy Nexus that lasted about 5 days...she is back on the iphone and I'm now on my fourth Nexus and still having the mic drop issue.(worse now since 4.0.4...significantly worse)..the mocking tone as she asks how my phone is doing is irksome...

With all due respect I'm not sure why people feel the need to comment that the problem doesn't occur with a bluetooth headset. First of all, it's not true, and secondly it doesn't really matter if you have no interest in using one. Sound like a VZW rep...

Maybe because that IS true for them. Just because that is not the way it works for some does not mean it is not true.

I've been dealing with the mic issue, both pre- and post-4.0.4. I was convinced it was a hardware issue, but I've been visiting family for the past couple of weeks and haven't had any mic cutouts in their area (New Orleans). Back in my own area (southwestern New Mexico), seemed like it would happen every other call. I'm now convinced that the area network coverage has a lot to do with this problem.

I have read a few articles about how Verizon noticed that there are huge areas where this is not an issue even tho the number of Nexi per square mile was not any lower. Sorry these were random within longer sessions of web surfin and I never noted where I ran into them so I can't produce links. I think this subject should be find-able with alittle effort tho.
