4.0.4 OTA has Arrived!

Been checking all morning and still nothing. ICL53F Flashed from Bugless Beast 4-09-12 to the stock 4.0.2 to see if I could get the official update.

I had rooted some time ago and was using the AOKP build 35, and thought I'd return it to stock, just to see if the update was available. At 2:14 pm I checked and it said my phone was up to date. At 2:16 I get a message on my phone that an update is available. Sure enough, it updated. Makes me suspicious of the "Check Now" button. I've included screen shots.

I am curious about one thing, though. The build for the aokp (build 35) was IMM76I, while the OTA is IMM76K. Anyone know the difference(s) between the "I" and "K" builds (besides "J" )?

IMM76I = GSM build of 4.0.4.
IMM76K = VZW/CDMA build of 4.0.4.

Most roms (like AOKP) who are on 4.0.4 use bits and pieces of the GSM build because that was the only "official" 4.0.4 build available (at the time).

Same here man. I'm in Atlantic city NJ and nothing yet. I'm hoping to have it before I take a trip to see my girl on Saturday in PA.

Yes you need to revert back to the stock 4.0.2 radios to receive the update.

Why would you want to do that? If there TRULY was anything different or better within the OTA "Official" update the devs would have new and much BETTER custom ROMs based off of it within 1-3 days of its release. I doubt many people that have taken the few minutes to unlock/root and have experienced custom ROMs will ever take OTA updates again. I know I won't, but hey, there's always exceptions

Congrats to those who have received their OTA update though. Must be like an "early" Christmas etc.I personally didn't experience issues stock but noticed a serious improvement with the new radios as far as where I now get LTE service. To the point I get it at places other LTE devices are not (think middle of concrete skyscaper). Love this phone

I went back to stock because I'm troubleshooting an issue during calls. So there are valid reasons to do it.

If you are a developer, you'll want to test you apps and sites against a stock experience, not a rom experience. That's a pretty good reason.

I think so. Mine say i515.09 V.FC04 / i515.FC05 on 4.0.4
