i guess because it is preloaded with so many samsung apps that may not be for every user. android storage is already partitioned right from the start, app partition is different than data partition different from external sd n so on. I was confused at first, when I bought sony xperia j, I thought it has 1gb of RAM cause there's a type of storage that's 700mb something. turns out it's the internal storage for application, n the RAM is only 300mb something, listed as 512 in the spec. still, i can appreciate some features added by the update like the disabling function of unnecessary apps.
