4.1.2 Sucks!

i guess because it is preloaded with so many samsung apps that may not be for every user. android storage is already partitioned right from the start, app partition is different than data partition different from external sd n so on. I was confused at first, when I bought sony xperia j, I thought it has 1gb of RAM cause there's a type of storage that's 700mb something. turns out it's the internal storage for application, n the RAM is only 300mb something, listed as 512 in the spec. still, i can appreciate some features added by the update like the disabling function of unnecessary apps.

Just went to 4.1.2 from 4.0.4 and regret the move. My Galaxy SII worked great before the upgrade. Email notification issues evident after setting up my accounts. Hotmail account works ok but Yahoo account setup differs. Peak time settings are weird. Was a big android fan until this supposed upgrade

Huh, it may take a while for an OS update to settle down a bit, since the handset needs to get acquainted with the Project Butter code which was not present in ICS (obviously). If that's not the case, I recommend you start looking at custom AOSP ROMs. This is the reason why I hate OEM skinning of Android.

If an OS update has caused problems on your phone, you should factory reset the device.
