4.2.1 Update Received

I did the clear data from Google Framework Services.....then went to system update....and boom, there it was. Installed no problem. Now trying to figure out what it really did, other than the December thing...but you know, just got to have the latest version!!!

I have not been able to update any apps since the 4.2.1 update. I get a server error message when attempting to update. Anybody else have this problem?

I got that error after the 4.2.1 update. I deleted my google account on the Nexus 7 & then reactivated it.

How do you do that? Clear data fr Framework then system update.

Got the update last night. Sorry I'm still new to Android and haven't spent a ton of time with the Nexus 7. I could have sworn I was already on 4.2.1. So the update goes to 4.2? Anyways, the device is much snappier now. Reminds me of the day I unboxed it!

I just got it today but I do not see much difference. Autorotation is still broken and I cannot disable NFC.

4.2 came before 4.2.1. For a while we were on 4.1.2, so that could be confusing...

After much debate (because of all the horror stories I read on here) I went ahead with the update today....crossing my fingers all is ok.

I wish I did not do it. NFC cannot be disabled and it is using good share of battery juice

Re: 4.2.1

I never have had a second of trouble with my nexus 7 even with updates no problems. Now I have to unroot before a update but thats ok its no big deal. I got both updates and rooted it again and everything runs smooth.

I received the 4.2.1 update on my rooted 32gb Nexus 7 without doing anything special. I thought I would have to restore it to the unrooted state to get the update. When I got the notification, I figured that I had nothing to lose - it went through without affecting the root!
