4.2 Delayed?

For reference, my ASUS tablet has had this update for six months and had no bugs short of this or that thing that everybody gets (like the bluetooth issue on 4.1 that HTC hasn't fixed because that would require a 4.2 update). It's not world-changing by any means, but I can rest assured that the next update that might be will make it to my tablet just as quickly. Likewise, Samsung is shipping out phones with this update that is a ripe 6 months old and they have an infinitely more complicated proprietary software in TouchWiz. If HTC updates this soon, I'll never think about it again. That is, unless/until the 4.3/5.0 updates take entirely too long which seems likely since we're about 7 months late on the 4.2 update so far.

Again, I love this phone, but to think this is anything but a negative is lunacy. I knew it would be when I bought it. I hope HTC can turn things around during the life of this phone.

Well I understand why you would like the update to hurry because it will help fix your blue tooth issue although I use blue tooth on multiple devices daily and haven't experienced any problems. Samsung has had the update and look what kind of mess is going on with either touch wiz and Android or whatever is causing the problems with the freezing or lag on them. No thanks for those problems. Any ways not to beat a dead horse because ultimately it will get here when it does..
Little things like a faint scratch on the back of my phone or one pixel missing or waiting on a update don't really bother me as long as it doesn't take away from my overall experience. I hope it gets here ASAP.

The bolded is why I went with the HTC, a tradeoff I was willing to make (at least for now!) :D

Most people just buy 'an android phone' don't even check the version, especially, .1 to .2
I'm sure it will come and be awesome :-) Those that dont like waiting, get a nexus (or Google edition) right?

For me, it's all about Bluetooth. It's the one area I sometimes regret switching from the iPhone. The best I can do in my car is stream. I have no controls from my dash. Have to use the phone for music control.

The minute that 4.2 arrives there will be 17 threads about how its not much different than 4.1.

Then 17 threads of S4 owners telling us to eat **** and our phone sucks

Agreed. I'm not saying one phone is better than the other but as far as just plain old smooth, the One tops the chart

...and The One is better lol

I know you're trying to make yourself feel better, but sorry.. 4.2 on the s4 is fast as hell and my phone doesn't experience lag.
