4.2 keyboard

Has anyone had any luck getting the 4.2 keyboard working on the v or s? Idk what I'm doing wrong but I can't get it to work. Any help?

The apk needs to be shrunk before it can fit on the internal memory of our optimus phones.

Did you guise try the 4.2 keyboard from gnufabio? Didn't work for me but maybe someone on CM10 will have more luck since I'm on CAI. Supposedly it should work on 4.0+ and it's only around 9 mbs

don't quote me on this, but I think that problem (as with google now) is that the app contains instructions for an armv7 processor, and our phones are armv6

EDIT: and I have tried it on both CM9 and CM10, doesn't work on either.

the armv7 code makes sense to me.
as of ICS, google AOSP build system doesn't even support armv6, so no reason for their binaries to be compatible.
I tried it running both CAI and bobz cm10 off SD, and so there were no space issues with the install.
It force closes constantly.
The best result I got from multiple apks, libs, and install methods got me the yellow trace for the gesture keyboard visible on the regular android keyboard but it didn't do anything except be visible.

It works on my tablet just fine and I'm using it right now which means it's most likely an armv6 issue.

Well I found this guy who made it work for Armv6 but I tried it on CM9, my Android keyboard disappears altogether. Tried his Camera+Gallery and the new Gallery works, not the camera (didn't expect the camera to work though). Thankfully the original Camera is there and not replaced phew. Maybe the keyboard will work for CM10.
