4.4.3 Update

I got mine on N7 2013, at first no youtube videos or FB videos would play now they do.
I do seem to be getting more lag than before. Other than that cant tell much yet.

Why is it that I have a tablet that works fine for everything I use it for, and yet I get impatient for an update that I expect to do little or nothing for me?

But, as of last night I am still waiting. I didn't check this morning.

I have to wonder what the differences are that some people have bad battery drain, touch issues, lag and random reboots, and some work perfectly... Heck, if I don't use mine for a week, it still has most of the battery available, and no lag or random reboots, and it responds well to my touch.

Got it Saturday. Standby battery life seems better.

The only other thing I've noticed is that Wikipedia now crashes regularly. Otherwise, my Nexus 7 (2013) continues its nearly flawless run as a great performer.

I think badly coded apps have to do with a lot of issue, especially reboots and battery drain. It is pretty easy to get something wrong like forgetting to release services and end up with one of the Goggle service continuing to run and eat CPU and battery. You can also crash drivers which can result in a reboot if you are not careful, especially if you are playing with the NDK. I have done both of these and others bugs that have made Android perform poorly.:p

Touch sensitivity is still problematic, so after using the tablet for over a day with the new update I'm not sure what was supposed to have been fixed as I have the same issues I had before the update.

I had a suspicion that apps could be part of the problem in some cases... I think if the forums were divided by apps used instead of phone/tablet used those would show up easier. :)

Just went to settings and updated, no problem. Got a location fix first time I tried anyway, whatever that's worth. See if it continues as it's been 50-50 before, at best.

GPS is actually working now with the new update. Now anyway. See if it continues to work. It did work before too, sometimes.

I have a US Nexus in NJ and I haven't gotten it yet. Are there many people like me or should I reset my tablet to get the update. I understand it is normally a phased roll out but this is a really bad phased roll out.

That's weird, I'm in NJ and got the update. Don't be jealous though. No advantage I could detect. However I'm pretty certain battery usage is worse. One thing I am certain of: Google maps is broken. If I start using directions, scroll through the directions... Boom! Maps has stopped. Reboot hasn't helped. Guess a system cache reset is next?

Wow..thanks. May be I'm better off without the update. Just so many problems with this update

I'm also on the East Coast of the US and I haven't gotten the update for my Nexus 7 (2013). From what I've been reading, I think that may be a blessing. :)
