4.4.4 update ETA?

Yeah, saw that. Oh well, thought there was a chance they'd skip, but if they're pushing out a 4.4.4 update at this point, even with a preview lollipop running, maybe they figure they spent so much time getting 4.4.4 ready it will buy them more time to ready lollipop. Or, is it possible that 4.4.4 needs to be pushed as a 'requirement' before lollipop? Don't know, just askin'.

It's not a requirement. But Lollipop is likely still a few months away so no reason to skip 4.4.4 which has some big fixes in the meantime. Now that's no guarantee Verizon will push it out of course.

I just plugged my stock Verizon Note 3 into Kies and it told me that there is a firmware update available, so I accepted and installed it. My Note 3 is now on 4.4.4. Anyone else?

Taking it as we speak. Updating from NC4 to NJ6. I know I'll loose root for a few days since I'm updating though Kies3....but to me totally worth it until some one figures out again next week lol.

if you use Kies to update to the 4.4.4 firmware, does it erase anything on the phone like texts, call history, etc? or does it just update the firmware and not touch anything else ?

I used Kies and got the 4.4.4. no problems except it shows 4.4.4 in about phone but I also clicked on system updates and it is showing software update availlable and now it will bother the hell out of me every day with that message. I didn't want to click that system update but I did

does anyone know how to get that stupid update box to stop showing up every day. again, my phone shows 4.4.4 in the about phone so I don't even know what the system update software is?

Are there any difference in the Kies version and the OTA from Verizon? And what if any is the best way to upgrade? Should I clear cache first, factory reset or just take it and go.....??

I just plugged mine in it says my Verizon note 3 is up to date I'm still on 4.4.2
