40+ watt charger....

Will the Huawei p30 Pro rapid charge with any charger 40 watts or more or does it require the specific charger that comes with the p30 Pro? I have an Anker charger and a RAVpower charger that are over 40 watts.

Caution: I'm 78-years old and not a geek or an engineer.

You have a 22,000 Watt house, do 100 Watt light bulbs work in it? Of course.

Devices draw what they need - sources don't "push" power into the devices. As long as there's a 5 Volt output, and the plug matches, it will work. Will it fast-charge at the same rate? Probably. Samsung and OnePlus have their own standards, but everyone else uses Qualcomm QuickCharge (also called Qi). RAVpower doesn't say what standard it supports, Anker specifically states that it doesn't support QalComm. But they'll still charge the phone and they won't damage it, the charge will just take longer.

Thanks. I have a number of charging blocks that are over 40 watts and charge my Pixel 3 and my Acer Spin 13 just fine.

I can still remember when I was 77.

Update: I don't have a Huawei charger that will work with my wall outlets. I bought an adapter which made a very unwieldy device and when I plugged it in I think it was signaling that if wasn't at top speed and it would take 42 minutes to go from 90% to 100%. That made no sense.

I tried a different charger, not Huawei, and got the same results.

Today I decided to charge with a slow charger. I was at 85%, plugged it in, and it said well over an hour to fully charge. I took a shower and wasn't in there even close to an hour, and came out to find the phone at 98%.

I have to mention that the Huawei P30 Pro battery is a monster. I'm not a normal user since I don't use the phone because I'm quite deaf, don't use social media at all, and don't have any games on my phone. My phone gets turned off every night when I go to bed. I don't think the estimated time left is any more accurate than the time to charge but I'm going to see how long it takes to get down to 20%.
