4G and Hotspot Help

Hey, am new here. I want to root my evo. I love my 4G and mobile hot spot. Is there a way to have both features if you root? I do pay the $29.99 per month for hot spot because it is my only means for Internet where I live for your computers. I use the hotspot a lot and would not want to be flagged or anything for getting it free. I guess my main question is will rooting and flashing roms lose my 4G feature and hotpot from sprint? If no lost, what roms are great for this?

I think you have some misconceptions of what "rooting" is.

In a nutshell, the rooting does not imply that you change your phone software. Rooting inherently does not mean you have to change anything in the way you use your phone. However, you have the option to do so (and it is the primary reason why people root).

As long as you use a Sprint/HTC Sense based ROM you can use the hotspot feature built in to the ROM for your paid Sprint service.

Most root users get an after market app that lets them create a wireless hotspot, but you can just use the built in one (the one that you have to pay for).
