4G blows me away

This weekend, I happed to be in Spokane. There was no wifi available, so when I looked at my phone, I noticed I was connected to ATT 4G service. Before all I could get on my old iPhone 3GS was 3G. I looked a up a few things on the internet, the first time I have used/seen 4G in action. I was blown away by the speed. Makes me sad I can't get 4G where I live, but at least I'm getting some pretty respectable speeds over my wifi so it's not too heart breaking. But I gotta love 4G.

The CSR at the ATT store told me right now Spokane is getting the lower 4G speed but it is expected to upgrade (date unknoen) to 4G LTE. I would drive to spokane just to see how that works.

It's amazing. Noticeably faster than 4G. Almost cable modem fast.

Yeah, I had my car at Midas in Manassas, VA the other day. I was rocking out on LTE in the waiting room...and it was as fast as my home wifi. Blazing fast. I live in the boonies, so it will be a while before AT&T gets LTE here, but it's fantastic near where I work.

Incidentally, a mere 10 freaking days after I signed a new contract with AT&T for the SGS III, Verizon flipped the switch on LTE in my town. Had they let us know it was coming, they might have me as a customer right now. Dumb asses. I really don't know why they think it's such an advantage to keep all these things a secret.
