That's scary that it is happening on phones with DI18 also.. I am hoping there was just a bad batch of phones. I believe my replacement phone has a different build date than my original phone, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that 4G never fails on this one.I'm experiencing this "Unknown" status on my 4G toggle with DI18. If this is a software issue, doesn't seem right to be paying the $10 surcharge while this is unresolved.
they just said Sprint was aware of the problem, that it was a software issue, and an update would be coming in the next few weeks.
Bri637, was your Sprint store a 3rd party store? Mine told me the exact same thing 2 weeks ago (it has now been a few weeks since then)...but I called Sprint Tech and went to a Kansas City store that was not a 3rd party outlet. Neither of them had ever heard of this issue. They replaced both our phones. I would get them to give you the title of the software "issue" or code or whatever it is and call Sprint or go to a large Sprint retail store and give them that info and have them check it out.
bri637, definitely don't wait for a software fix. My Sprint repair center just ordered me a replacement phone, so this seems to be a faulty/defective hardware issue.
