Rochester, NY checking in. All is well.

I agree with rog as well. Just because your phone won't connect to Lte you shouldn't immediately assume the whole network is down. Individual problems are possible!`

in this case there have been so many recent 4g outages its a natural reaction. and i for one didn't assume. i have already done battery pulls, changed cdma vs lte/cdma, etc etc to try to diagnose the problem, just as most of us did on the last confirmed outage. since we're making suggestions to everyone here, i suggest you could also just read on...the title of the post is '4g down'. people are clearly trying to see if others are having the same issues they are. we would get that information by either responding 'yes i also have a problem' but also by NOT responding.

How about you pull your sim? Since there isn't an outage, its your phone. Pulling your sim and letting it re-register will fix the problem 99% of the time.

Threads like this aren't helpful if the OP doesn't give any information. Frankly, we don't need to know every time someone is having trouble getting a data connection. There are enough tips in this forum and others about 4G phones, for people to determine what the issue is without polluting the forum.

so if its not helpful to you, and you're not having a problem, just move on. its being polluted by all the etiquette police. there are an awful lot of posts here, and plenty where you can add value or find something of interest to you. why must you post that threads like this "aren't helpful?" what purpose does that serve? ps, pulled my sim too but thank you for the suggestion. i might give people the benefit of the doubt on this board that they've already gone thru their own checks mentioned elsewhere on the site.

Verizon store in my neighborhood just told me they are "performing service in my area" and that they've had intermittent service today too.

Actually I havent seen anything this time in Atlanta but normally it dies here when it goes down. I'll post back if it drops.

Down in LA also. This phone is a POS when it comes to holding a 4G signal though. My outage might be because a bird flew overhead or because I forgot to floss this morning.

Down again in Salt Lake. Looking like THIS one may be nationwide?

Nope. All good here in Akron/Cleveland.

Also, each time I completely lost coverage, I dialed *611. Each time I was greeted with a message saying that VZW is aware that 4g customers were experiencing issues.

GREAT! Thanks! Didn't know about that little trick. Will prove to be very helpful

good to know I'm not the only one. Of course I already did a battery pull and a factory reset and opened a ticket...gonna hold off on unroot/lock now that I see someone else in the area is also experiencing issues.

Houston, TX here- 4G seemed to go down about 11 am, did a battery pull and it came back on. Shortly after, I toggled to 3G and a few minutes later tried to switch back to 4G and I wasnt getting a signal. Rebooted and 4G came back on.

Weird. Anyone else having problems getting 4G back when you go from 3G to 4G? Today is the first day I've had this problem- the switch has been pretty seemless in the past since I switch on and off 4G when I want to surf or use GPS.

It seems like there are a ton of problems. Prior to December, I never lost a 4G signal at all.. at work, in elevators, at home.. always in 4G.

Now? I am constantly losing signal, at least 5-10 times a day.. up, down, up, down.. it's killing my battery life.. at this point, I think I'm going to just force it into 3G mode until this crap gets fixed.. it's getting ridiculous.
