I wonder why VZ lit up 4G lte in the Richmond metro area (Henrico, Chesterfield, Chester, Col Heights and Petersburg) without putting out a press release. Seems odd. I mean, we have close to 1.5 million people living in the RIC Metropolitan area, and VZ made no mention of 4G being turned on, yet, everyone I've talked to in the area has a strong 4G signal.
Now that I've tasted 4G lte, I don't think I could go back to 3G...Like DSL to FiOS...
Drove around the West End, downtown and all around Mechanicsville area and had LTE all weekend. I was able to get about 8 hours out of it on LTE the whole time.
4G in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Hampton, Newport News and Williamsburg BUT at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg we have been seeing a very erratic signal. 4G in the parking lot but it then jumps all over from 4G to 3G to 1X to no signal in wide open areas of Busch Gardens. Noticed the LTE being turned on Friday 9.30.11.
I am off of the Courtland exit 41 in Prince George.....other side of PG from Hopewell...hope the light up lte in my area when they do. It is my only option for internet at home. thanks for the info
I live 3 minutes from Norfolk International Airport, and live off Bayside and Diamond Springs road, has anyone gotten a 4G signal there? I'd test myself, but I don't have a 4G phone yet (Getting the Vigor/Rezound/Incredible HD whenever it decides to come out)
