I ran a speedtest and pulled 23.70 down and 7.56 up. then a few minutes later it dropped back to 3G! Agh! Looks like they are testing. It has gone up and down several times in the past hour, looks like the Winston-Salem, High Point, Greensboro triad area is getting the hook up on Verizon!

They need to hurry the @#$% up. I just got a Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot and I'm dying to use 4G.

Fingers crossed for you guys! My parents live in G'boro, and I was just up there all last week. I'm clearly spoiled by being in a 4G market, because I was hating being in 3G that week! I'm hoping it will be 4G the next time I'm up there!

I talked to a Verizon rep today and he said that G'boro will get 4G next month. Skeptical by nature, I think that he was just talking out of his @$$ to try to get commission.

Yeah, I think LTE (especially the LTE here in St. Louis) really spoiled me. I went to Branson at the end of April and after only having the phone for a month and a half, I really hated being in 3G.

Wilmington before Greenboro Raleigh Durham Verizon? Really?

Edit: Greensboro

They are testing it. Expect to see it go in and out for 2-4 weeks before they turn it on. At least that's how it happened in my area.

I do hope Burlington is included when they roll it out officially!

would just be nice if RALEIGH / DURHAM, the capital city, would finally get it....

We will get it very soon. They're working on LTE deployment and the Alltel network integration. VZW isn't stupid, they aren't going to leave Raleigh without LTE any longer than they have to. However, since they started the Alltel integration, they have to make sure they get everything right first or they could end up with a big mess on their hands.

I have seen people on the towers installing the new antennas. The network is showing multiple signs of being worked on based on phone behavior and info from the field test / debug screens. Some areas are having issues (especially parts of North Raleigh).

I wouldn't be surprised to see an announcement in the next week or so. [[Edit:: and I guess it is official according to the previous post]]

Glad to see Greensboro is getting LTE soon, along with smaller towns nearby that I visit.

Man, I can't wait. My wife yells at me coming through Charlotte because I'm driving and on my Bolt. She's really going to be upset now lol. But I love my wife.
