It's a hardware thing with the one, that's why I bought the t-mo version and converted it, shout out to bigxie over at xda. One gpe software with complete tmo radio arsenal.

By the way, unlocked phones work just fine on tmo 4g but you must verify that the phone you are purchasing have the proper radios to do so. Not all hspa and LTE is equal, damn US wireless industry.

I have a TMO HTCOne and have been looking into converting to the GPE version but was wondering about the radios.

Could you talk a little more about your experience and provide a link to what you used?

When you did the conversion are your rooted or non rooted and receiving OTA's for the GPE? I'd imagine you would have to have the GPE radios and be completely stock to get OTA's from Google?

Did you change your CID & MID and keep the TMO radios? or just root and install a GPE ROM?

Thanks.

Also, is this a legit guide? HTCOneRoot.com - Learn How To Root HTC One and Install Custom ROMs! It seems too good to be true, I have rooted a few phones and everything looks good on that guide but I've always had such a hard time finding guides that this is just amazing!
