Just got the Htc One last week, great phone. Love everything about it except it doesn't seem to hold a 4g signal even in known 4g areas. Tried the Optimus G for a week before getting the Htc One, and it held the 4g signal great in the same area the Htc One gets the 4g signal and drops it right away & goes back to the terrible Sprint 3g signal. Maybe the next HTC firmware update will help? Any ideas would be helpful. Its frustrating cause cant use the company wi fi at work & 4g signal is there just wont hold it like the Optimus G did, too bad cause Htc one is a better phone except for this one issue. Help??? :(

I'd use this time before you are locked in to try to compare with a One in the store, or perhaps a coworker. You could always get a replacement One to see if that is better. I assume you've done the proper updates. Try a different One or see if a coworker has the phone and see if they have the same problems in your workplace. Best luck.

Heard this may be an issue with this phone. The phone's a beast, gonna keep it inspite of this issue. Thanks for the quick response:-)

It may not be the phone itself it could be just that you don't have the stronger 4G signal to hold on to I know it's better than the umm Evo LTE because my friends have it has the HTC One on Sprint and it has a bit better signal than my evo LTE see me just being weak LTE area.

Mine is the complete opposite. I get better 4g with the one than any other phone I've owned. My service is tons better now!

I remember when the EVO LTE first came out, had horrible LTE reception. The GS3 was much better. But then after a few months HTC did a few software, firmware, radio updates and after a while the EVO LTE was better at 4G LTE reception then the GS3.
Fast forward to now and im willing to bet the HTC One will get better with time. BUT theres a small chance you might have a dud antenna. So as the above posters mentioned, compare side by side with other HTC One Sprint units.
I have a One on TMO and while LTE is strong it never goes above 1-2 bars. Im hoping that updates fix that.

You try updating your prl and profile? I know doing so helped out with my 3g signal a ton at my apartment.
