If you reach up and slide down the notification screen, you have the option for mobile data on/off. That what you want
No I know about turning the mobile data on and off. I am looking for a widget or something that switches from the cdma/lte mode to cdma only. I don't have 4G coverage at work and don't want to burn the extra battery while my phone attempts to connect to 4G when I know that it isn't there.

If you don't have a 4g coverage area, then you shouldn't worry about your battery being used for you are not going to have 4g service.
Yes, it will drain the battery more if 4G is on when you aren't in a 4G area, the chip will continue to look for service when there is none. But wouldn't my phone continue to look for 4G even though it isn't there? Kind of like leaving wifi on when there is none?

Personally, I have not seen that much of a difference with leaving it on (I live in a 3G-only area while I work and commute through a 4G area) but my fiancee doesn't work and she says turning her GNex to 3G only makes her battery last longer (verses leaving it in 4G/3G mode).
