There are a few people on the Nexus 7 discussion group also having the same issue. I suppose it doesn't appear to be rampant enough to warrant any site highlighting our plight.

You're saying your received 5.0.1 OTA, correct? Did you receive 5.0 OTA or did you flash it first?

The 5.0.1 upgrade is going to be/already is as moot point since the 5.0.2 upgrade will roll out soon for the 2013 N7. Ironically (strangely), the 2012 N7 upgrade to 5.0.2 is already rolling out. Sometimes, Google logic defies normal logic. Oh, well....

I got the 5.0.1 upgrade a month ago on my N7 2013. Worked great until a few days ago. I forgot to recharge and ran the battery down so I plugged it in to the charger and left it alone for a day. Next day I go to power it up and nothing... nada! Tried holding down power button, then power button and volume down together for as long as 3 minutes - nothing. What now?

Some users said to plug it into the computer/laptop via USB port. For whatever reason, it works when your device is completely dead

As a Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi only owner I'm pissed because one of the reasons I bought the tablet was updates. I received 5.0 update notification but before I got a chance to update it was pulled of. To this day no other update shows up.
cpcxgsr Is this true?... Just plug it into the puter via USB and it will do what and what can you from there?
