5 hour old razr already dead

U have 24 hours after u deactivate your sim to save it if not its dead.but u need to call vzw to reactive it. And what ever u do never ever do a *228 on vzw sim running phone. Best way to fry it.I learned the hard way.

Returning my RAZR tonight. I've had to re-charge TWICE TODAY already. Both times, charge was at 30%. And it's only 1:00.

With:
Wifi off
Brightness zero
Email fetch 30 minutes
4G OFF

Unbelievable.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of these issues with the M logo during charging weren't from the charger itself. I bricked my Xoom once and used a modified diagnostic/service cable and it was able to reset the device. The results of plugging it in were very similar to what is being described, m logo weird battery charging etc.

Its hard to tell without having an extra charger though. My father bought 4 razr's, he'd call me immediately if he had this issue. So if it does happen (unlikely) I'll tell him to try a different charger and post back.

have u tried power button and volume button at same time? or dont charge it and wait a few hours and try charging again.

Hey all. Just an update on the issue. The phone decided to do that crap again on Tuesday, while my mother was in the hospital. That right there put me over the edge, I had to rush from the hospital to a VZW store in rush hour traffic, to get the phone replaced, which took over an hour since the manager of the store was just walking around not doing anything. Finally got the replacement and got back and all has been good.

I think it was just an issue with the battery in that particular phone. And as far as chargers go, I only used a VZW car charger and the supplied charger with both RAZRs so far. When it would go start it's crap, it wouldn't respond to anything... power button nor soft reset. So I really don't know what was wrong with that phone.
