I'm considering the Nexus 5 for my next phone but I have a few questions regarding it that I'm hoping you guys can help me with.
1. I've heard that there should be different hardware versions: One with more loose and slack buttons and smaller speaker holes and one new version with more firm buttons and bigger holes. Is there a way to tell which I'll get? A model number or something? I intend to make the purchase online as it is cheaper and one of the (many) reasons I'm getting the Nexus 5 is the low price.
2. As price is important to me and I'm not really that much of a heavy user I'm looking at the 16 GB version (tbh I'm not sure if a 32 GB version is available in Denmark). How much space can I expect to have left after the initial updating and software installations? My music library is about 3,5 GB and I don't watch movies on the device so I don't really think it'll be too big a problem. My current handset has 16 GB of which 11 is free (no music on the phone). Will I regret not getting 32 GB?
3. Making the purchase online from Danish sites, how can I make sure that it is actually a device that is compatible with European data standards so it can operate with 4G LTE connections? A quick look at the cheapest page I could find right now lists these specs for connectivity:
- 2G Network: GSM 850/900/1800/1900
- 3G Network: HSDPA 850/900/1700 /1900/2100
- 4G Network: LTE 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600
LG Nexus 5 16GB
I have really no idea what this indicates.
4. I've heard rumours that the Nexus 5 is the end of the Nexus branding. What does this mean for the future updating cycle of the Nexus 5? Timely and up to date software updates are very important to me - another reason why I'm looking at the Nexus 5. I would be sad to see it not getting updated in the near future as well as in a couple of years.
5. I've always used iTunes to mange my music. In iTunes I only have the music I'm actually listening to so not all of my MP3-files are shown here. Is there a way to synchronize the iTunes library to the Nexus 5 as opposed to moving every single song I have on the computer to the phone?
Bonus: In reason getting a cheap versus a more expensive wireless charger? Or is the official wireless charger the best option out there?
Thank you very much
