5 things I HATE about the Samsung Galaxy S8

I hate that I can't get anything done. Newphonitis is making me less productive at work and home from enjoying and customizing the phone.

Just the FPS and Iris Scanner that are either useless or a PITA to use. Other than that I love the S8/+.

while i would rather have had the FP scanner on the front,where it is at on the back has turned out to be ok. i really have not had any of the other issues.

i never use screen protectors, but what do you mean by cases. i have 5 different ones and they all work fine.

I was able to install my zagg glass screen protector and otterbox commuter case just fine. No issues with lifting.

I just got a caseology coastline case for my S8 plus. I must say, everyone was right. Having a case on makes using the finger print scanner FAR easier. I'm actually starting to use it now. Still have Iris scanner as primary unlock method but fingerprint works better outdoors in sunlight

I don't know if I would say these are reasons to HATE the phone but some things I miss from leaving my Lumia 950XL Windows Phone are the dedicated two stage camera button, which could both wake the phone and take photos, and the other is the Skype Integration with SMS/MMS texting. I was able to receive and send text from any Windows 10 PC/Tablet I was logged into.
Hopefully Microsoft updates the Android version of Skype to do the same thing.

The funny thing about the phone is that the S8+ can open the camera with a double tap of the power button but then that caused me to screw up some photo opportunities.
It took me a few days to stop trying to take a photo with that (power) hardware button after launching the camera.
Instead of taking a photo like I would be doing on the Lumia's camera hardware button that both woke the phone and took photos, the power button on the S8+ just puts the phone to sleep. Of course. LOL dang that sucked when I did that.

It's been a nice phone so far. Some things are more difficult to do on it than the Lumia. Such as handling files, copy n paste, moving the cursor, etc.

But I dig the multi screen mode of the S8+ and some other features as well as having more updated apps.

Maybe Microsoft will kick *** again later with a new phone after they get done investing their efforts into the (FULL) Windows on Arm project.

With the case I bought for the phone, I feel for the opening around the FP scanner and camera and am able to land my finger on the FP just fine without touching the camera lens.

Without the phone case I don't think I'd have a chance at placing my finger in the correct place each time.

I got an LG g6 and love the fact that I can put a nice glass screen protector on it. The camera quality is way better than my s7e. I'm glad I returned the s8 plus. The pink edge was a bit annoying.

I always base my buying decisions on whether there is a glass screen protector....

I stop using screen protectors since my S4
Using them loses the feel of the glass and they often just get scratched and need replacing all the time. It was eventually deemed not worth it so I just use the bare screens with a phone case to protect the sides and be careful.
I am a commercial HVAC tech so I handle my phones with dirty hands etc and the last several phones I had all held up with the screens looking like brand new when I wiped them off.

FPS problem solved. 1. Registered finger a second time. Now it works first time >90%.

I knew this trick but never really used it on my Notes including briefly the Note 7. I guess with the front sensor on prior Notes I didn't need it. Still the sensor and the location on S8 are not the best. But problem solved so accept this victory thanks.

I keep iris scanner on as a backup since it works in no light situations. For me though I have to raise my glasses off my face for it to work. With a working FPS now though I don't mind this as much.

I have to say that unlocking isn't an issue for me at all. My FPS works great when I need it. I register the same finger 2x to increase the sensitivity. When I started using the IRIS scanner I was amazed at how fast it unlocks. I wear glasses and I've don't have any problems, with or without them. I will admit that in bright sunlight it doesn't work as well but that is when I use a PIN.

The extra button for Bixby doesn't bother me. I knew before I bought the phone that it wouldn't be functional. I look at it like my Echo, it is constantly evolving.

The glass back is one of those things "be careful what you wish for". I remember when just about everyone complained about the cheap looking plastic backing. LOL

When i open the camera & click on Gallery it also shows pics of ScreenShots/WhatsApp videos and pics
I want to set it to only show me the Camera pics, when i click like it
Like it was in Older phones
PLease help me 

That's how it's always been bro no way around that at all. The only other solution is to disable gallery app and use google photos exclusively
