$50 Discount on the Galaxy S3

Is the NFC chip on this phone going to be disabled, and will it come with Google Wallet pre-loaded? A lot of places here support Google Wallet but it's impossible to get it without either getting a Galaxy Nexus (off contract or going to Verizon) or going to Sprint which isn't an option given their data speeds here.

I was able to get $20 off my next 2 bills by calling customer service at 1-800-922-0204, extension 4, than requesting the Loyalty Center. I than kept asking why certain people got this "loyalty" discount and why wasn't I informed about the discontinuation of the NE2 program. They than gave me a line extension which decreased my bill for the next two cycles and it will be removed once my GSIII is activated

Good times!

I woke up early this morning like everyone else to order the S3. Later on I was on the Verizon site again and noticed that there was a $50 discount on both colors and memory options of the S3. I called customer service at 1-800-922-0204 extension 4 and they credited my account $50. I would advise everyone who ordered early this morning with no discount to do the same. Cheers.

I too saw this crazy deal in the morning and I thought the special promotion was awesome. Needless to say, I missed out but I have some hope. The Verizon wireless guy told me if I could prove that such a deal existed, he would honor that price and let me get both the discounts on the phone. Unfortunately I didn't get a screen cap of the deal but is there a way that you could send me a screen cap of your receipt with all the important data erased and only the price discount shown so that I can show them that the discount existed? He basically called me a liar and told me that he won't do it but will if i can prove it. This became a matter of principal to me and I was wondering if you can help me in anyway.

I just called Verizon and said my $30 upgrade discount (which was nulled by the stupid $30 upgrade fee--even though I'm going from one smart phone to another!) was all I was eligible for. Single phone line is all I have. When I agreed to my contract a little over 2 years ago Verizon had the NE2. I think they should have to honor that because I can't make changes to the contract during the contract time and neither should they. Mine was up at the end of April (still using my DInc). I would seriously go to some other company if it weren't for coverage in my rural area.

uhm...the $30 upgrade discount is your NE2 discount.

Yeah, but it is a farce. When I upgraded my phone 2 years ago to get the DInc, my NE2 discount was worth $100 and no upgrade fee. So, I actually received $100 discount. Now it is nothing because all it does is erase a bogus fee. Not really a "thank you for being a loyal customer and we want to keep you."

And it won't even erase the upgrade the next time you upgrade since they've gotten rid of it completely
