5x doesn't work on Verizon (or Sprint)

This should be a given, but I wanted to try it anyway. Wasn't able to get it to work on my Verizon sim, not even xlte which this phone supports.

I'm not sure if this is the current status, but my understanding is that any "already activated" Verizon/Sprint nano sim should work in your 5X. The problem is that neither carrier will activate a new sim on this phone (or the 6P?) yet.

I have a currently activated Verizon sim, and changed the apn.

Keep in mind this thread is discussing the honor 5x,not Google /lg 5x.
