A simple question: if I do a factory reset is there any advantage to clearing the cache?I can't see the purpose but I'm open to learning something new.

If you factory reset from the same menu used to wipe the cache partition , I've always just done both because it's so easy.

Try smart switch... had trouble yesterday... now it seems to be working fine
