The 8th update for the global, Exynos, model, SM-98*B, has been released for my unbranded U.K. Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G phone.

This update should apply to all the Global S20 model phones, SM-98*B.

The update, G98*BXXU3ATFG, is for the July 2020 Android Security patch and even more camera improvements according to Samsung's changelog in the following post, below.

Build date = 23 June 2020

Camera version is now = 10.0.03.31

Android Security patch = July 2020

This is the 8th update in 111 days = 1 update every 14 days on average

Very nice. I feel more and more pleased with my decision to get this phone. All the naysayers clamoring about how the camera couldn't be improved because it was purely hardware related can eat crow.

i saw some pics on twitter not too long ago from someone who did the update and the cam is getting better and better, it is still sad knowing how the cam starte out and i would hope in the future we can get a great cam out the box without needing to hav so many updates jus to hav it working properly. but this update is makin it better for people to choose the S20, even the Ultra more easily

Always great seeing software updates that improve the experience. Samsung is trying, can’t fault them for that.

High magnification resolution improvement

Zoom lens focus improvement in low light

Close up zoom name change to 2x - more accurate, faster and activates at 6 cm distance

Improvements in basic video stabilization

Thats great this update came with the improvements. They made it seem the camera improvements were only for korea and the rest of us would get the security patch without the camera improvements. Looking forward to the update.

Has the camera improved on the areas people seem to get frustrated with the most? Soft details and blurred photos in anything indoors or semi-low light?

Camera is fixed and the best phone camera I've ever used.

I had one at release but sent it back and I’ve been without Android ever since. The photos had such blur and lack of detail indoors in a fairly well lit room. I was curious if that had been fixed.

Got an update this morning for the US version Unlocked from Samsung s20ultra. Its only ATFB, not the G. Camera version is still older too I think. Guess we need to wait a little longer.

My update today upgraded my camera to .32
