.602 Issues

So I finally did the .602 update a couple days ago. I used to two part method from p3droid. Since then my X has become extremely laggy and at times completely unresponsive.

The dialer is worse than it was before. There was a couple second lag before, but now it's almost unbearable.

More than half of the time when I press on something it doesn't respond like it did before. And half that time it'll highlight what I've pressed but then do nothing after.

Things seem to work fine once they're open. I am typing this using Tapatalk, but I had to "open" it a few times.

That's all I've really noticed so far, but these issues have pretty much rendered my phone useless.

I'm wondering how common these issues are since I've read a few other posts with similar issues.

Is there a way to cancel this update? I'm rooted, my phone is working fine, and I don't want to mess with it. I have gotten the message twice today to update and I canceled it.

I could be wrong but... There should be an update.zip file on your sd card. If you delete that it should take care of it.

Use Root Explorer to rename Blurupdater.apk in the System/Apps folder.

Do I have to buy root explorer for this? I tried using Astro and it said I had insufficient permissions.

I'll just try to connect the phone to my computer at home and see if I can do it that way. I should have downloaded root explorer when it was free on the amazon marketplace, but didn't think I'd need it.

So... back on the topic of issues with 602... I have never really had issues with my DX until this recent update. After the original GB update, I have had problems when plugging my DX in to the USB in Debug or storage mode. My computer gains access to the SD card while the phone looses access (resulting in all Icons disappearing from the home screens). I guess I could deal with it... though I never had those problems on Froyo.

Well, now with 602.. things REALLY suck! I did the update and a factory reset. Everything is sluggish. programs, updates, etc are all slow to respond. This is by far the worst update yet, in my opinion.

I also have have never had problems with my dx until this update can someone please explain to me how to downgrade to the previous one...598 or whatever it was.

Thank you.

You can always use RSDlite and sbf to a previous version of GB or froyo, or buy the TBH app and and flash the software version of your choice.

I highly recommend the TBH app. :)
