60fps video

When would be an appropriate time to use the 60fps video mode? I've never had the option before. I'm assuming it's for fast moving subjects like sports.

60fps isn't particularly fast. and, yes, slow-motion traditionally goes hand-in-hand with sports. but i would suggest shooting whatever you feel like in slo-mo. you might be pleasantly surprised at what slow motion reveals. for inspiration, look at what phantom camera has done for cinema...

60fps and slow motion are 2 separate options.

that's weird. i haven't tried either one. i shoot very little video with my phone (obvi). guess i will experiment with both and see what the difference is if any. in motion picture 60fps (transferred at 24 or 30fps) is slow motion.
