64gig SD card treated same as internal storage. Im running out of room even though its empty.

Hiya.
I used to be able to transfer apps to my SD card but I cannot do that any longer since an update because my phone is telling me that the SD storage is the same as the internal storage.

I have half a gig left internally and just under 64gig free on the expansion but i cannot install anything more because i do not have enough room.
All I can do is uninstall less used apps till I find an answer.

This is my first smartphone so I really dont know what to do.

I cant seem to be able to format it to something different so it doesnt treat it the same.
Any help would be great.

Sounds like you have "Adoptable Storage" enabled. See Inside Marshmallow: Adoptable storage | Android Central

hi , read that article, but still how do i change app from internal to sd or should i say i cant find the option of converting my SD card as internal storage..
