What is most sad is that Huawei is clearly capable of making sleek attractive devices. I suspect that in an effort to be different and let's face it not look too much like an iPhone, Google persuaded them to go this weird design route. I could probably get used to the hump actually. What bothers me most is how tall this device is, especially when the other two 5.7 inch flagships out this year are wonderfully compact for their screen size. I'm typing this on a moto x pe. It isn't perfect but I really love how it looks and surprisingly that is a big reason why I'm leaning towards keeping it (still have until Oct 1st to decide).

personally I'm not all that concerned with the height of a phone. it's the width that affects actual usage.
also, I have a feeling, and I certainly could be wrong, that the "hump" isn't gonna be nearly as noticeable as first anticipated. if you use a case it's not an issue, and if not, I really think it won't be a big deal at all.
I actually like the aesthetics. I use a case and I'd probably grab the black version, so it's not a problem, but I think it looks pretty cool. and the front, yeah the bezels are a little larger than I'd like, but no branding and black grills with front speakers is a fair tradeoff.
and so many people (not directed at you personally, just saying in general) complain how every phone looks like an iPhone or some other device. it's an original look, plus something that'll get covered with a case won't dissuade me from grabbing one. I'm just hoping that 3450 battery rumor is true!
and what are you looking for in the Nexus that would make you trade back your MXP? I know you said you'll possibly keep it cause of the looks so will it simply come down to aesthetics, or is there a specific feature?
I love the looks on the MXP also. for a 5.7" phone, I really didn't notice the size as much as the iPhone 6+ or Note 5 when holding it. And I don't get how all the AC guys thought it felt cheap. It's definitely different from the 2014 version, but I think it's one of the best phones looks wise out there, especially the wood back ones.
