Got confirmation email for call #2, correct SIM! Also got shipping confirmation on call #2 with wrong SIM and was actually overnighted. I expect a shipping confirmation on the correct SIM today and should show up possibly saturday or definitely Monday. Phone is still on pending so glad to know I'll have right SIM card waiting.

Thanks again for the help!!

I cannot get the 6P with the new V5 SIM card to activate. Sprint's website keeps saying to contact customer service. What is going on here??

Usually when that happens there should be a chat bubble on the right hand side. They basically just conf the MEID, and SIM card ID number, and your off.

I'm getting the correct sim card sent to me. This is what I went through:
I just got my project fi phone today. I decided to stay with my current Sprint plan for a few more months. I have to tell you, this is a nightmare. I of course tried to just swap my nano sim card from my current Motorola Nexus 6 to the new Nexus 6p. The phone tried to activate the sim card automatically(no dice). Sim card locked!!! Please call Sprint. I then tried the online sprint webpage where you can activate new devices. No GO!!! Device not in database. Then I Initiated a chat with Sprint. They asked for IMEI number, serial and sim card number. NO go, I then tried another brand new Sprint Nano sim card I got from a sprint store this week. That wouldn't work either. So then I drove to a Sprint Store. I had the guy at the sprint store try for 2 hours, and 3 calls to corporate. Apparantly there is a special sim card required for the Nexus 6p. And will take 3-5 business days. No expedite option available. WTF Brand new phone, cannot use it with Sprint currently. That is my experience, hope yours is better.

I went from a Droid Maxx (Verizon) to the 6p. Verizon originally told me over the phone I needed a new SIM. Went into the store and the rep told me I could use the same one. He set it up and I've been using the phone. Only a few small issue and I have no idea if it related to the SIM.

1. I still have not received the new security update for November (still have the original patch).

2. SMS picture messages don't work occasionally. I get a message that I need to download the picture, which never happened on my Maxx.

Any ideas if this is SIM related?

There is definitely overnight available. My first, wrong, SIM card was shipped to me free and overnight. 2nd one I had to pay shipping and said I would if it was overnight. He promised it was, but of course lied. Makes me hate sprint. Now I have to call and argue to get charge taken off....least 1hr wasted to do that.

How did they lie about overnight? Did it come in 3-5 days, or was it over a weekend?

first call I asked specifically for V5 and got V3. But was free and overnighted free.

second call, after 45min they finally processed order for V5 but wanted me to pay for shipping. I said I would but only if they overnighted it. They lied about overnight, but sure I'm getting charged still for shipping. It shipped Friday afternoon and received it on Tuesday if that helps. So 3 days I'd guess

I pretty much told them. I was a really unhappy and pissed off customer. I spent close to 3 hrs working on getting my brand new phone setup. The least they could do is overnight my sim card, and pay for it. I was simply told, I tried to expedite the sim card. But that is not a option sir. I could of insisted on speaking to a supervisor or I could of called a different department. I just gave up.

Weekends don't count as business days, but you should have got it Monday if it shipped Friday. If it just said label created, and that's it from the tracking number they did technically overnight it.

They overnighted me one. I did pay the extra 10 for that. Go to sprints website, find contact us, and scroll down to int'l support.

Yeah I should of used international from the start. I just contacted Sprint Chat in the Shipping Department. They said they do not offer overnight. Do not guarantee that. Most orders take 2-5 business days. Depending on location. If you live near KY, then you might have it the next day. The further away you live from KY(Kentucky) the longer it will take. I explained how I have been chatting in a few threads about this issue, and people have told me they are getting their sims shipped overnight. They just brought up the not guaranteeing overnight again. I live in Oregon I suspect I'll have my sim by Wed. If it ships on Monday. Next time I will be contacting International chat. LOL I know at this point they will tell me I already have a sim being sent. I will have to pay for the new one, and the only advantage will be is I will get it on Tues instead of Wed. Cause its not going to ship until Monday either way.

Yeah I see the chat for International. I'm quite good at getting around the Sprint website now.

Mine was overnighted. I ordered late on a Wed night, around 2100 eastern time. It shipped Thursday, and had it in hand Friday. Living that far away could impact shipping, but I'm sure UPS can handle the logistics.

Yup I think Maverick answered it. They do not have phones in their stores that require this version sim card. So why carry them? In the future they will. They just were not prepared for this.

Just odd to have various SIMs for various phones. A nano should be a nano. Sprint is the only one that I know of that needs a specific nano-SIM card whereas other carriers simply go snag a Nano one and walk out.
