After a year with the exynos s10+, I want to come back to OP.
I can't decide between the 7T and 7 Pro.
From what I know:
-7t has better battery and brightness
-7 Pro has 1440p
-7T is lighter and less bulky
-7 Pro has a pop up camera while the 7t has a tear drop a la 6T.
-7 pro has more custom roms and twrp while 7T has the rom I like most: renovate
-7t has a weird round protruding camera while the 7 pro has (way too) curved display.

So now I am lost, neither is the obvious choice.
Anyone has both or switched from one to another?

I don’t have experience with the 1+7 t
But the 1+7Pro is unique phone to me and not upgrading to any of the other one plus offerings

I personally would go for the 7T, but I prefer flat screens making the choice very easy.

Damn
I don't like the teardrop design, it's one of the things I didn't like on the 6t, but the curved display is also too curvy.
If only they used the popup camera on the 7t, I wouldn't be hesitating
I was thinking as the 7t needs a thick cover to protect the camera glass, this cover definitely weight 30 to 40grm, while on the 7 Pro I can use a slim cover of about 15-20grm, so in total it will be the same weight even lenght no?

I felt the same way about the teardrop notch and used the Nacho Notch app to hide it on two different phones, Moto G7+ and OP 7. After a long time happily using it I gave the teardrop a second chance and I was very surprised that in a couple of days I got used to it and now it doesn't bother me at all.

The tear drop I thought was very well implented on One Plus

I think I like it more than I used to now that I have an S10 - I feel like since it's off to the side, I notice it less or it seems to blend in better.
You can disable it in settings so it's it's a black bar across the top
