8.1 Final (Stable) now available for Pixel and Pixel XL!!!

I thought that one of the changes in 8.0 was that manually checking for updates (as opposed to the regular behind-the-scenes checking) would override the rollout queue and give you any updates that happen to be available. But, that does not appear to be the case as I'm pushing the check for updates button like crazy and not getting anything. I'm on regular 8.0, not in the beta program.

Pixel XL here, TMobile, got the OTA this afternoon around 1600. The "dark theme" is nice, even if it doesn't go far enough.

I don;t think its included. You'll have to DL the apk and install it.

The 'Check for update' button on Pixel/Nexus devices still isn't pulling the latest OTAs as promised, but it'll be fixed in 2018

Got the update yesterday. Pixel XL on Verizon. Working okay, so far. FINALLY don't have to see notifications two hours in advance telling me that an alarm is coming up. That really irked me beyond compare.

Not alone. I usually get them the first day as well. It's never taken this long, previously.

I was on the Beta and just got done with the update. Seems same as DP2 but we'll see. Only difference so far is Security Patch date is December 5.

As one Google Engineer once explained......

Updates roll out in batches, starting with 1 percent of all devices in the first 24-48 hours. The team checks for problems, and if everything goes to plan, proceeds to update the next batch, typically consisting of 25 percent of devices. So the percentage of updated devices goes from 1%, to 25%, to 50%, to 75%, to 100% over a period of 1-2 weeks.
