I wonder how well Sprint's LTE building penetration will be seeing they're using the 1900 band for it. I know this was a big issue with their WiMax network.
My post didn't save. Without the full preamble... here is a site w/specs. The frequency is supported.
HTC Evo 4G LTE - Full phone specifications
2G Network CDMA 800 / 1900 3G Network CDMA2000 1xEV-DO 4G Network LTE 800 / 1900
WiMax is on 2.5Ghz and has far less penetration then the 1.9Ghz network does.I wonder how well Sprint's LTE building penetration will be seeing they're using the 1900 band for it. I know this was a big issue with their WiMax network.
I believe this phone-specs site states the EVO 4G LTE will do it all. (Unless there are other purposes for the frequencies in question.)

DUDE!!!!!
Thank you! now everyone can remain calm about the whole LTE issue, we're covered.
I'll be honest, I was getting worried about it too when people began asking about it
Glad to see the phone won't be obsolete after a year!![]()
What? "1900 LTE will probably NOT be implemented during this phones lifespan?"
WHAT???? Sprint is in the process of upgrading its system to Network Vision, aka LTE in many markets across the country with at least 3 or 4 different phases of operation to be turned on with in a year. Im in Dallas, TX one of the phase 1 markets. So im not sure where you are saying 1900 LTE will probably NOT be implemented is pretty far off. Unless your specifying your city or something. Sprints plan is to make the entire 1900 spectrum it owns into LTE, and add 800mhz for capacity and in building penetration.
Lets not forget it owns 51% of Clear, and if memory serves correct they recently announced they were going to start to overhaul their system and convert its 2.5ghz of WiMax spectrum to LTE spectrum.
Unless i am misreading his statement.. which is possible. Ive only had 1 Code Red Dew today. By this time in the afternoon im usually up to 3..
Where on that page do you see the frequencies, it doesn't list them? Do the bands correspond with frequencies?Hate to piss on everyones parade, but the HTC specs page says differently. 800 LTE is not supported. I thought I had read in a review or two that it wasn't.

Edit: I looked it up, your right. Could it change when it goes to the fcc?
Its not supported. If you look on HTC website it says lte bands 2 and 25 those bands are 1900 MHz only. I don't think sprint is moving their lte to 800 MHz but their cdma so people have better 3g data connection all the time. Right now their 3g is on the 1900 MHz spectrum. It explains why the new evo has a cdma radio that can read 800/ 1900mhz
I think its on 3g I think people think it with be on both because blogs said but I'm pretty sure 1900 MHz is going to lte and 800 will be 3g.
