The reviews say yes, but the specs on Verizon (and I haven't been able to find it on my phone), say otherwise. That's why I am asking.

How do you know it is connecting at the 802.11ac speed? I also have the Asus ac router, but it says I am connecting to the 802.11n portion.

I was searching for this thread and finally found it!!!

I bought a new AC router and hooked it up, configured the router for 5.8g AC ,connected to it with my phone and BAMMM, 433Mbps connection!!!

The phone is connecting at 80Mhz channel with 256qam and it looks like one stream. As a realistic speed test, I downloaded a 700MB file from my NAS and it took less than 10 seconds. I have to say, this was the first time I have been excited about my connection. Now, moving files will be so much easier. The wireless speed is faster than the USB speeds I am seeing.

To sum it all up AC is working and working perfectly!!!
