90% of the time opening youtube through a link won't let me rotate the screen

I have no idea how to fix this. Clicking any link to open a youtube video, i cannot get the video to flip to horizontal unless i hit back and re-click the link. Once i do this usually every video after that is fine, but i've i've closed the app, i will no doubt have to redo this process to get the first video to rotate.

Is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

Factory reset perhaps?
Or else the sensor for detecting rotation is broken. How do racing games behave where you have to turn your screen for steering?
Btw by opening a yt link you mean inside the yt app yes?

I haven't tried any racing games. I'll have to give it a shot. I don't think it's that though because once I get it to function it works and I can rotate back and forth no problem.

And by links I meant say a website has a link to a YouTube video, when I click that it'll open the YouTube app but then I can't rotate horizontally until I hit back then reclick the link
