I am getting just the tiniest bit of lag on the homescreens, and I am trying to track down the culprit. Before I go through all of my apps and services one by one, does anyone have some "most likely suspects"? Nova Launcher? Picspeed wallpaper rotater? Widgets? Too many syncing services?

Based on what you just mentioned...

I would disable the wallpaper rotator first and see how that responds.. Then from there play with the widgets. Nova Launcher would be the last culprit I would look at.

OK, what is weird is that I turned off the Picspeed wallpaper rotater while using Nova and it didn't help, but then turned off Nova and went back to the Sense launcher (while Picspeed was still off) and it cleared it up. So, it was either Nova or a combination of Picspeed and Nova together. I didn't think Nova used up any real resources, though. Maybe just some Sense optimization that prefers its own launcher?

The latest update of Nova did show up a tiny lag from time to time. In my case was barely noticeable but being that the One runs flawlessly and think of rebooting my phone. It solved it. Perhaps the update installing over the Nova opened files something to do.

Try rebooting the phone and see if it goes away.

I tried rebooting but that didn't work. What I found out with that it was not Nova itself but a feature in Nova which allows you too force the phone to scroll the wallpapers. When I turned that function off it seemed back to normal. Hopefully that was all it was
