  1. What are the chances of messing up the phone using visionary to temporarily root it, and how bad could it be messed up?
  2. Will the phone's warranty be considered voided after the phone reboots and is no longer rooted.

There really isn't any downside to using it considering any thing that you change to system is restored on restart. Some argue its a bug others argue its a safety measure. So feel free to use it as much as you want.

it mighta just been me, but i noticed when having visionary running my phone felt slower. more prone to freezes or blank home screens, so i uninstall it when i don't need it. which is basically daily. all temproot is good for is wifi tether and screen captures.

I tried it today and it made my mt4g lag really bad. I unrooted and uninstalled. I did not try rooting then uninstalling visionary maybe I will give that a try.

You could get some great benefit from rooting with VISIONary, including the ability to go back if you want your phone unrooted for some reason. I posted some info about it on my site if you're interested: Rooting with VISIONary

Honestly, the phone's great as is. But I have been looking at perm rooting to be able to manage some things I can't right now, like mobile data toggle, force EDGE/HSPA, CPU Overclocking, etc...

As far as warranty goes, temp rooting shouldn't affect your phone, because at the end of the day, everything is left completely intact as they gave it to you once you reboot.
