A few G4 disappointments so far - Camera, performance etc

I can see I was hoping for something they didn't include, which would be P Mode for Auto ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture, but EV, Metering location, flash, and WB adjustable per situation. It's an all-or-nothing choice, and sounds like LG's Full Auto needs a little work :-(. As others have stated, a lot of situations require too quick of a photo to adjust more than a couple settings.

I don't think auto mode needs much work. It is better than almost any other phone, even in auto. Don't let the silly comments in this thread persuade you that the auto mode isn't capable. It is. Is the s6 marginally better in auto. Yes, I believe it is. Overall, though, which camera do I prefer based on using my wife's s6 and my g4? g4.

100 times this. Some people in this thread have been actively spreading their opinions as fact throughout the forums here, when discussing this subject.

There's pros and cons of both the g4 and s6. But most people without an agenda would be happy with the camera of either one.

Yeah, just look at the camera sticky post. There are plenty of examples of nice auto shots that I wish I took. Such as the sequence by Mr. Bonds on this page:

To the OP:

I played around with the auto mode and noticed something when taking a shot of a dimly lit room with lets say 1 bright window. If the window brightness is killing the shot or if you want to forget the room and catch whats going on out the window, just press on want you want to shoot on the screen to adjust the point of focus and then continue tapping that very place until you get the desired exposure (4 taps limit I think).

Maybe someone has already put that out there, if not, give it a shot (no pun intended).

Seems like that would have been obvious to me, but I only tapped once, thinking it would only adjust one step...works good, on my screen so far at least. Have to try that out. Thanks for the tip!
