A few rooting questions

I recently rooted my droid so I could overclock the processor and had a few questions about the new update. Will I still receive the 2.2 update from verizon? Will this take away my rooting access? I am looking for a easy way to root again once I receive 2.2. Thanks.

I wouldn't upgrade to the Froyo OTA if you want root as you'll lose it when you update. If you're running a custom rom, OTA updates are usually blocked anyway so you won't even know an update has been issued. You'll need to either install one of the current froyo roms or install a rooted copy of the official release when someone releases it.

Assuming that the "official" update will be quite similar to the leaks, we should get a rooted version relatively quickly... *probably* no more than a day or two. And who knows, perhaps the official update is the same release as the newest Froyo leak?
