Actually, I don't think there's anything wrong with a developer promoting their apps in the forum, but it is a bit misplaced in the Nexus 7 subforum. Postings like this need to go into the Android Applications subforum instead, where it will be kept company with a plethora of similar posts. That's not a bad subforum to browse as a way to discover new apps. Now, if the poster was promoting an energy drink or whatever, that would be a different story.
