I gotta say that this forum has so many threads and each thread has 10 thousand pages, it's come to a bunch of 1 liner messages from people saying the same thing over and over because nobody read the previous 30 pages.

I'm proud of Google and Samsung for making such a great device and experience and I do look forward to purchasing it. The Razor has excellent specs but it doesn't have "the sex" look as the Nexus or the backing of round of ICS. SamOogle put together and incredible presentation as well the other night and I have to say that this phone will fit most people's needs.

Gratz SamOogle and I look forward to a great future

1) Goomsung sounds better

2) It is a great device and I agree. Will the software be buggy? Probably, but it doesn't matter because Google will be sending it updates very fast. This'll be my first and only Nexus device. My OG Droid doesn't really count but that phone is also great.

3) RAZR is 'meh' at best to me. Their continuous fails on phones have me no longer considering Motorola a major Android player. They should've put 4G on Droid 3, they should've not released a bad product (Bionic), they should not have release a top-tier phone within 90 days of a prior release, they should've unlocked the bootloader.

4) Goomsung's presentation wasn't THAT good. I mean, the unlock using your face feature was a failure and gives i*hone fanboys fuel. Their voice-to-text also slightly messed up. The venue was a bad choice because half the people didn't understand and the live stream wasn't the best quality. Awkward pauses were awkward and they didn't announce any carriers which makes me a sad panda.

I'm still excited to get the phone but I'm doubtful that it'll get to Verizon. Just my 2 cents.

I want this phone! However I'm going to be waiting to hear real world reviews. Definitely won't be first in line for a samsung.

BTW FWIW my buddy's Bionic is an amazing phone. Plus he's never had one issue with it. It's a great phone.

This section has sufficiently convinced me that Google and Samsung have successfully made an emotional connection between the GN, ICS, and the targeted demographic.

I've only seen this level of speculation on Apple's iOS products and Sony's Playstation 3 (just prior to launch). Actually, the PS3 had the BEST fanboy line ever:

"I can't wait for the release! The PS3 has 10x the POWER OF GOD!!!"

and people posting threads about how xyz feature/spec is disappointing or will suck when there are very few hands on and no reviews out yet.

We don't know if the battery sucks
We don't know if a pentile screen sucks
We don't know if VZW will bloat it up
We don't know if the VZW launch is delayed (how you delay something you didn't announce officially is another topic entirely)

We don't know anything beyond 1 or 2 reasonable confirmed rumors and what Google/Samsung has told us.

I get people are excited and everyone should be, this phone is exciting. We just don't have answers yet, and that's OK, they'll come.

When the review units get into people hands, we'll know, before that it's just unnecessary speculation and rumor. I'm not sure that does anyone any justice when it comes to formulating opinions about this phone.

I'm not knocking anyone for posting their opinions here, that's what the forums are for. Just giving my perspective.

OP, you're absolutely right. All kinds of gnashing of teeth going on here. People are listening to people like P3droid, who is nothing more than an attention whore, and then running around like a pack of crazies making up wild eyed conspiracy theories, determining that VZW isn't going to carry the GN and is out to personally wreck their lives.

In the last two days I've found myself just gettng frustrated when I come here and read so much complete drivel and almost nothing of substance. I've found myself posting more negative comments than I'm used to seeing coming from myself.

Therefore, I'll be taking a break from all this for a time. I'll be back when there is actually something to talk about, good or bad, but at least based on fact. Take care all!

Agreed! Everyone is trying to pick at this phone and dissect and argue about every little spec out there. We need to relax and take a breather and wait for the information and the phone to come out. If you don't like the phone, then don't buy it and don't troll it for the other people that do want it. Chill pills for everyone. Thanks OP

I've been saying the same thing for a while. Every thread has someone posting the same info in 5 other threads.
