A new android user needs some advice

Hi Guys, I am reasonably new to the android o/s and am currently using 2.3 on a MID tablet. Currently I can use it with WiFi or connect my dongle to achieve 3G browsing. I am pretty happy with this but being a somewhat gadget freak I want an upgrade.

I have been looking at the Acer Iconia A100 and A101. I really resent paying ?200 more to have a 3G version so my question is this - can I run a 3G dongle on the A100?

It's way simpler just to root your phone and tether so you dont have to worry about attaching a dongle. What phone do you currently own?

Hi, despite having a lot of tech I am afraid I'm not that techie, lol. I currently have a Blackberry Curve 8520 which is pretty crap at the best of times and doesn't have 3G. I wouldn't even know where to start with this tethering lark but appreciate you trying to help. Think I'm going to go for the Dell Streak 7 3G version instead, maybe perhaps, still undecided really lol.

Gaylehh, I had the Dell Streak, WASNT impressed, the screen isnt all tha good and seems to be limited as to what all you can load on it... several apps that I currently have on my A100 and my Samsung Captivate would not load on the Streak.... I'd suggest at least playing with one in the store before you buy it.
