Hi, this is my first post. I hope I'm on the right thread.
I am a Samsung fan and my current mobile setup is formed of an S7 edge phone and a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet. Both pretty old, I know. Their performance is not as it use to be, but I can still use them. I consider buying a Note 9 to replace the S7e. Maybe, if I am patient enough, a Note 10. The problem is that I got so used with the tablet that I feel the need to change that with a new one, as well.
The point is that I would avoid spending money on two new expensive and somehow redundant devices and I would also like to avoid continuing to maintain two android devices.
So, I started from the idea presented here

on Note9 in Dex mode +portable touchscreen monitor, were you will get sort of a tablet. It is not exactly the neat setup because:
• if you want to be mobile 100% you need to carry around a portable charger for powering up the monitor. Adding up the power cables complicates the setup.
• Then there is the issue of resolution. A decent portable tablet has between 9.x to max 12.x inches, but at this size, most portable touchscreen monitors are full HD, rarely above.
Then it struck me!
Why should I spend money on the new monitor and external battery when I can use my old Note Pro instead. It has touchscreen, better resolution than Full HD and battery included. If I manage to connect it with Note9 in Dex mode, I could use the processing power of the phone and the display of the tablet. If I could connect them wirelessly, that would be awesome! It would be like a heart transplant to my tablet.
Do you think that will work?
Thanks!
