A simple question

Why can't Google upgrade all their nexus devices on different carriers at the same time?
I see the Iphone is all over multiple and international carriers yet they all have ios 5.1.1, It's virtually the same situation, so I just want to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Google hasn't stood up to the CDMA Carriers (Verizon and Sprint) like Apple has....that's what I think. Personally I hope Sprint and Verizon along with Google surprise us and push the Jelly Bean OTA to all versions of the GNex at the same time.

Apple has power and influence with the carriers because they are making phones that people want to buy. Google has no power in the situation because they aren't. It's Samsung, HTC, etc that are making the phones. So Google has no ability to get the carriers to do anything. Now as we've seen, Samsung does have some power over the carriers because they are selling the most phones. We've seens Samsung force all 4 US carriers into a room together to announce the Galaxy S and GS2. And with the GS3, we've seen Samsung force the carrier to sell the exact same phone with no modifications.

All that means is that the update will be held up for the GSM phones until the CDMA updates is ready. Do you really want Google to artificially delay the update to some phones just to give the appearance that everyone is getting the latest version? That sounds like something Apple would do.
