A subset of emails are being synced in my email subfolders!

I have Samsung galaxy 8, email 6.0.03.20. Synced to Gmail and AOL.

My Gmail subfolders show up on the Samsung email app, but some are fully synced, while some are partly synced, with no discernable pattern of recency or name.

I have removed/re-added all accounts (Gmail and AOL) , cleared data, cleared cache, and restarted phone several times to no avail.

Any ideas? Problem only with Gmail subfolders, not aol.

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not directly familiar with the Samsung Email app, but if it's anything like the Gmail app, it might give you an option to select how many days back to sync each subfolder. Go to the Email app's settings and go to the Gmail account there, and see if there's a way to look at each subfolder's sync settings.
