A3 for use in US?

I've been trying to find a small smartphone for my husband, who has finally decided he needs to upgrade from his flip phone. The A3 (2017) sounds like a good fit. Small form, current(ish) OS, nice camera. I would like it to have wifi calling, but I can't tell if it does.

We're on AT&T. Most phones I've found are "international version". Is this suitable for use in the US?

Any reason I should not buy this?

It might depend on the exact A3 variant. The specs on GSMArena.com show that it only supports one of AT&T's LTE bands, so that's not great compatibility:

You might want to consider a refurbished 1st generation Pixel. They're still excellent phones, and the smaller Pixels are a decent size. I got a refurb for my parents through Groupon Goods, and the phone looks and works fine: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...y-unlocked-refurbished-b-grade&token=l5nMUnT0
